Indo-Thailand Faculty Abroad Programme by MIT Square London
Bangkok, Thailand Dec 8, 2024 (Issuewire.com) - The Faculty Abroad Programme (FAP), a collaborative initiative between India and Thailand, organised by MIT Square, London, and Shinawatra University, Thailand, concluded with great success, emphasising the power of international academic cooperation. The programme, launched by Dr. Mithileysh Sathiyanarayanan, Founder and CEO of MIT Square Group, aimed to provide a global tech platform and prepare faculty members for the evolving academic and research challenges. It brought a delegation of Indian professors pursuing Post-Doctoral Fellowships (PDFs) to Thailand, where they interacted with Thai faculty members and explored both academic and cultural landscapes.
A significant outcome of the programme was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between HKBK College of Engineering, Bengaluru; Shinawatra University, Thailand; and MIT Square, London. This agreement marks the beginning of transformative faculty and student exchange programmes, paving the way for cross-border academic growth. The MoU is led by Dr. Mohammed Riyaz Ahmed (Principal of HKBK) and this MoU sets the stage for future collaborations, fostering international exposure and innovation in education and research.
The programme included research presentations and interactive discussions, where Indian professors showcased their ongoing research. The experts, Dr. Mohammed Riyaz Ahmed, Dr. Nafeza Enayathulla, Dr. Ganashree T. S, Dr. Vaidehi M, Dr. Jyothi, Dr. Suganthi Raja, and Mr. Thirumala Akash Karolpathi, from diverse disciplines delivered presentations on subjects such as engineering, IT, social sciences, and business management, facilitating academic development and future collaborations. The visiting delegation also explored Shinawatra Universitys advanced research facilities, underlining the institutions commitment to academic excellence and innovation.
Beyond the academic engagements, the programme facilitated joint research activities, where Indian faculty worked alongside Thai colleagues. This collaborative environment enabled the exchange of innovative ideas and helped address shared academic challenges.
The success of this initiative sets a positive precedent for future exchanges. Plans are already underway to host Thai faculty members in India, continuing the cycle of academic enrichment and strengthening international ties. The Faculty Abroad Programme emphasizes the importance of global cooperation in education and research, reinforcing the growing need for such international academic collaborations. MIT Square will play a crucial role in coordinating the academic exchanges and ensuring the seamless implementation of the programmes.
